Welcome to Protein Tracker. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Boorix AI Inc. ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the Protein Tracker mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on any Apple device you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

The App is a tracking tool, not a medical device. Protein estimates — whether entered manually or generated by our AI photo scan — are approximate and provided for informational purposes only. Nothing in the App constitutes medical, nutritional, or fitness advice.
Do not rely on the App to diagnose, treat, or manage any medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have diabetes, kidney disease, are pregnant, are on GLP-1 medication, or have any other health condition.
The AI photo scan uses machine learning to estimate protein content from images. Estimates can be wrong. You are always shown the estimate before it's added to your log and can edit or discard it. You are solely responsible for what you log.
The App offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions ("Protein Pro") that unlock AI photo scanning and other paid features.
Payment: Charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.
Free trial: If a subscription includes a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial.
Cancellation: You may cancel anytime in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: All subscription refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Price changes: If we change subscription prices, Apple will notify you and you'll have the option to accept the new price or cancel.
Manual protein logging, favorites, daily goals, history, and streaks are free and remain free. We reserve the right to change what is free vs. paid in the future, but any change will apply to future users only — existing subscribers keep the features they subscribed for.
Your protein logs, goals, favorites, history, and settings are stored only on your device. We do not store this data on our servers, and the App has no account or cloud sync.
This means:
Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, not to your data. If you reinstall the App or switch devices, tap "Restore" on the paywall to restore your subscription. Your previous logs will not be restored.
The App, including all code, design, branding, and content, is owned by Boorix AI Inc. or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
You retain all rights to photos you submit for AI scanning. By submitting a photo, you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive, revocable license to process the photo for the sole purpose of returning a protein estimate. The photo is transmitted through our server infrastructure (Supabase) to our AI provider (Anthropic), processed to generate the estimate, and is not written to our storage. We do not retain the photo, disclose it to anyone beyond those providers, or use it for any other purpose.
The App uses third-party services (Anthropic, Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple) as described in our Privacy Policy. Their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms, misuse the AI scan feature, or engage in fraud. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boorix AI Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health outcomes, dietary decisions, or reliance on protein estimates.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50 if you paid nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be surfaced in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, located in Vancouver, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer residing outside Canada, this section does not deprive you of any mandatory protections given by the law of your country of residence.
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Boorix AI Inc., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) — Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
